Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 18, 2026
The Pixeliro ABC Sound & Phonics app (“the app”) is operated by Pixeliro. The app is designed for young children (ages 2–6) and is built privacy-first: most features work fully offline, and there is no account, no login, no chat, and no user-generated upload.
What we collect
- Learning progress + sticker collection — stored locally on your device. When you sign in to iCloud (iOS) or a Google account (Android) the OS may back this data up into your private backup container; Pixeliro never sees it.
- Microphone audio — only used live, only when a child taps the mic in a Speak-With-Me scene. The audio stream is processed on device to detect speech presence + (optionally) a target keyword. Microphone audio is never recorded, never stored, and never uploaded.
- Anonymous crash + usage signals — crashes and feature counts via Firebase Crashlytics + Analytics. No advertising identifiers are read inside the kid-facing surfaces. You can disable analytics in Parent Settings.
- Subscription receipts — when an adult upgrades to Premium, Apple (or Google) handles the payment. We receive a receipt blob to confirm entitlement; we never see your card number.
What we do NOT collect
- No name, email, address, or phone number — the app has no login.
- No location, no contacts, no calendar, no photo library scan.
- No third-party advertising in the kid-facing surfaces. Premium removes all ads everywhere.
- No social-media sharing, no chat, no comments, no user-generated content uploads.
- No behavioural advertising profiling.
Third-party services we use
- Apple StoreKit / Google Play Billing — handle in-app purchases and the Premium subscription.
- Firebase — Remote Config (feature flags), Crashlytics (crashes), Cloud Messaging (optional push notifications), Analytics (anonymous feature counts).
- ElevenLabs — pre-rendered narration audio is generated server-side by Pixeliro and shipped as static MP3/WebP. The child's device never talks to ElevenLabs directly; no voice data is sent to ElevenLabs from the app.
- Pixeliro CMS API — read-only fetch of podcast episode catalog (cached on-device after first listen, then works offline). No personal data is sent.
Children
The app is designed for children and follows the App Store / Google Play guidelines for kid-targeted apps. We make a parent gate (math puzzle) the gateway for any external link or store purchase. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices
- Disable crash reports + analytics in Parent Settings → Privacy.
- Decline microphone permission — the app still works; only the live speak-along scenes degrade to a tap-to-play mode.
- Upgrade to Premium to unlock the full podcast catalog + extended sticker book; this removes all third-party ads.
- Delete the app to wipe all local progress.
